Mitchell Clift Obituary

Mitchell D. Clift, 54, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Saturday December 29, 2018 at the Monroe County Care Center after a long battle with multiple sclerosis.  He was born in Marietta, Ohio May 19, 1964 a son of Sharon Bigley Clift Robinson of Woodsfield and the late Clyde (Butch) Clift.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Woodsfield, and the Masonic Lodge #300 Stafford, Ohio. Mitchell worked in the timber business and was an oil well tender.  He loved watching Cleveland Indians baseball games, listening to music and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his father Clyde (Butch) Clift he was preceded in death by his step father Tommy Joe Robinson.

He is survived by his mother Sharon Robinson of Woodsfield, a brother Michael Clift of Cardington, Ohio, step brother Jeff (Sheri) Robinson of Lewisville, Ohio, step sister Denise (Jerome) Pope of Gahanna, Ohio, several aunts, uncles and nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 4-9 p.m. Wednesday January 2, at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home Woodsfield, Ohio where Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday January 3, 2019 with Rev. David Cottrell officiating.  Burial will follow at the Stafford Cemetery Stafford, Ohio.  Masonic Lodge Service 7:30 Wednesday evening at the funeral home.  

Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio MS Society, 651G Lakeview Plaza Blvd. Worthington, Ohio 43085 and or the Ohio Diabetes Association 110 Dennison Ave. Columbus, Ohio 43201.
