Nancy Kay Rufener, 86 of Sardis, Ohio passed away Friday August 11, 2023 at WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital Morgantown, West Virginia. She was born in Columbus, Ohio April 11, 1937 a beloved daughter of the late Victor M and Winifred P. Moore Arman.
She was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, drawing and painting.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Homer H. Rufener Jr.
She is survived by her children; Homer Daniel Rufener, John (Kim) Rufener, Stephen (Levaun) Rufener, Wendy (John) Fernau and Rebecca Louise Rufener, grandchildren; Emma (Maclean) Fernau Collins, Anna Rufener, Katie Rufener, Magdalena Kay Rufener (Michael) Anderson, Maria Leigh Rufener Morrow, Abigal Wise, Alexander Rufener, Aiden Rufener, and Austin Rufener, three great grandchildren; Clayton, Eden and Vivienne, two sisters; Sandra (Paul) Dietrich of Clarington, Ohio, and Vicki (Norman) Voorhis of New Martinsville, West Virginia
Friends will be received from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday August 17 at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home 100 S. Paul St. Woodsfield, Ohio where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday August 18, 2023 with Terry Pringle officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem-Morton Cemetery near Sardis.
