Patrick McGoogan

Patrick McGoogan 71, of Sistersville, WV passed away Tuesday March 24, 2020 at Reynolds Memorial Hospital. Patrick was born July 7, 1948.                                        

He was raised in a loving family, but after family members could no longer care for Patrick he came to be loved by Tammy Groves. She became his guardian and was blessed to have him in her life for the last 25 years. At the time of his death he was the oldest living Down Syndrome person in the state of West Virginia.            

Patrick was a very special person who brought so much love to everyone who knew him in his own loving way.

Kevin Kilburn was his favorite buddy. Ms. Stacy Leichliter was Patrick’s nurse and forever friend, always taking care of him and loving him.

Special thanks to Rem of West Virginia and West Virginia Wavier services who helped Patrick to have a home of his own for many years and Sistersville Center Genesis for all the care and kindness they gave Patrick in the last year of his life.

There will be no visitation. Inurnment will take place in the Moffett Cemetery, Woodsfield, Ohio at a later date.  Arrangements by Bauer~Turner Funeral Home Woodsfield, Ohio.
