Phyllis Marie Krone

Phyllis M. Krone, 95 of Malaga, Ohio passed away Monday November 10, 2025 at Emerald Pointe Barnesville, Ohio.  She was born in Malaga November 8, 1930 a daughter of the late Wesley & Clara Ann Burkhart Hossman.

She was a life-time member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Miltonsburg.    She was an LPN and worked at Barnesville Hospital for over 30 years. 

Phyllis enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Krone – 1976, son Larry A. Krone, and her brother Marvin Hossman.

She is survived by her children; David (Mattie) Krone, Shirley (Chuck) Habig, and Dianne (John) Lewis, grandchildren; Jackson, Nicholas, and Greyson Krone, Jessica (Chad) Kinney, Josh (Melissa) Nalley, Brooke (Jesse) Newlen, step grandchildren; Adam Habig, Sarah Habig, Kayla Habig, , great grandchildren; Lilly, and Jameson Kinney, Wyatt and Adalynn Newlen, Braylan, and Brystel Nalley, and great step grandchildren Callista, Henry, and Sybil Habig, sisters: Eileen Miller and Judy (Pete) Thomas, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 4 -8 p.m. Tuesday November 11, at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home 100 S. Paul St. Woodsfield, Ohio.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday November 12, 2025 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Miltonsburg, Ohio with Fr. David Cornett and Fr. Chester Pabin as celebrants.  Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Vigil service will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
