Richard Allen Shipp Sr.

Richard A. Shipp Sr., 75 of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Saturday January 30, 2021 at his home.  He was born in Morgantown, West Virginia May 18, 1945 a son of the late Harold G. and Georgia Smith Shipp.

He was retired from Ormet Corp of Hannibal, Ohio with 30 years of service, a US veteran of the Vietnam War.  He was a 33rd. Degree Mason and former past Master Mason of Woodsfield Lodge # 189, past Chief Temple Aide for OSIRIS Shrine A.A.O.N.M.S. of Wheeling, West Virginia, Knights of the Templar, past President of Fraternal Order of Eagles Woodsfield, member of Woodsfield VFW 5303 and Woodsfield Loyal Order of Moose Lodge.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Jacquelyn Turner Shipp - Sept. 1, 2017, nephew David Lewis - 1985, and brother Harold Shipp - 2010.

He is survived by his wife Cindy Lallathin Shipp of Woodsfield, son Rick (Shain) Shipp of Woodsfield, daughter Pamela Shipp-Whitehead of Fort Myers, Florida, sisters Patricia (Howard) Lewis of Woodsfield, Jodie McNutt of Pennsylvania, grandchildren Wesley Shipp, Alec, Lance and Haley Whitehead.

Friends received from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. Wednesday February 3, 2021 at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home 100 S. Paul St. Woodsfield, Ohio with Rev. David Cottrell officiating.  Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery Woodsfield, Ohio. Masonic Lodge services will be held at 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
