Richard Bud Betts

Richard Lewis “Bud” Betts, 81 of Jerusalem, Ohio passed away Tuesday December 8, 2020 at Acuity Specialty Hospital Wheeling, West Virginia.  He was born in Calais, Ohio June 20, 1939 a son of the late Earl & Jessie Wehr Betts.

He was a retired Coal Miner UMWA member and worked for Murry Energy #6 mine.

Bud enjoyed suburban tractor pulls, all sports and his farm.  He was a member of the Moose Lodge # 972. 

He is survived by his wife Vickie Mercer Betts of Jerusalem, Ohio daughters Sharon Huffman of Woodsfield, and Darlene (Dan) Sims of Woodsfield, Step children Larry Phillips of Beallsville, Cheryl Moore of Jerusalem, and grandchildren Richard Huffman, Chad Huffman, Josh Ault, and Lauren Sims, brothers and sisters Eva Jean Sampson of Bethesda, Robert Betts of Somerton, Kenny Betts of West Virginia, and Sheryl Pierce of Barnesville.

There will be no visitation.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
