Steven Friday

Steven H. Friday, 68 of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away unexpectedly Saturday July 22, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Barnesville, Ohio April 4, 1955 a son of the late Harold and Ruby Bennett Friday.

Steven retired with 30 years of service from Ormet Corporation Hannibal, Ohio.  He had coached youth baseball and basketball and was an avid slow pitch softball player many years ago in local leagues.  He was avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds baseball, Ohio State and Bengal’s football. His love of sports has been carried on to future generations.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings Marvin, Mary Kay and an infant sister Donna.

He is survived by his loving caring wife Peggy Darby Friday who he married June 24, 1977, two sons; Trevor (Carrie) Friday, and Justin (Abby) Friday, two daughters; Stephanie (Jeremy) Littlejohn, and Leigh Ann Friday (Jon Wildey), siblings Sue Callow, Nancy Moose, Beverly Friday, and Rhonda Boughner, and his pride and joy as a proud Pap Pap to; Kirsten (Ian) Rouse, Kalista Friday, Blaine Friday, Jaren Friday, Josie Friday, Astryd, Zoie, Liam, and Aubree Littlejohn, Olivia, Vanessa, Jonathan Earley and Kota Wildey, a cherished great granddaughter Kelaya Rouse, and numerous nieces and nephews special friends and brothers-in-law.

A Celebration of Life will be held August 12, 2023 from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the Woodsfield Church of Christ Fellowship Hall.
