Voneda M. Baker, age 96 of Malaga, Ohio passed away Sunday April 22, 2018 at the Arbors at Woodsfield.  She was born September 2, 1921 in Monroe County Ohio a daughter of the late John R. and Ethel Swallie Stephen.

She loved gardening, bingo, and playing cards.

Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Baker, two brothers; George Stephen and Richard Stephen, one sister; Ruth Cline, one granddaughter; Theresa Pack, and one grandson; Michael Pack.

She is survived by two daughters; Betty Stephens of Barnesville, Ohio and Janet Hansen of Woodsfield, Ohio, three sons; Donald (Joan) Pack, Fredrick (Fritz) (Patsy) Pack, Lawrence Ellis (Marva) Pack, all of Malaga, Ohio, two sisters; Leota Mercer of Barnesville, and Norma Koval of Malaga, Ohio, grandchildren; Kenneth Wehr, Vicki Groves, Darlene Sims, Sharon Huffman, Wilda Miller, Adriane Seebach, Chris Pack, Carla Ladner, Michelle Stillion, and Lawrence (Flip) Pack, 22 great grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday April 24, at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, 100 S. Paul Street, Woodsfield, Ohio where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday April 25, 2018 with Pastor Jean Cooper officiating.  Burial will follow in the Boston Cemetery.

dear relatives,.. i had the priviledge of knowing voneda for almost 20 years she was one tough lady i always enjoyed her no nonsense approach her plain spoken opinion about everything and every one.. esp the rooster story
may she rest in peace and may you be comforted by the knowing that she is in a better place
