William (Sonny) E. Cecil, age 79, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Sunday September 16, 2018 at his home.  He was born in Woodsfield, July 12, 1939 a son of the late William Kenneth Cecil and Evagene Walters Palmer.

He retired from Swabels with 36 years of service. He served his country in the US Navy from 1956 to 1960, and was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose lodge 2247.  

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Barbara Gillman Cecil of Woodsfield, sons Kenneth (Theresa) Cecil of Akron, and Dean Caruso of Woodsfield, daughter Jennifer Cecil of Woodsfield, five grandchildren Emily Cecil, Zachary Cecil, Donald Fink, Danielle Fink, and Jessica Fink, and two great grandchildren Kairi Hollingsworth, and Camden Swaidner.

There will be no visitation.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Arrangements by Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, 100 S. Paul Street,  Woodsfield, Ohio.
