I never had a grandma that I remembered very well. Then I met Ethel. Brent was my best friend growing up and we visited her several times and I got to know her and Oss really well. I busted his balls (both Oss and Brent) and she appreciated that, I am sure. The best was to make fun of Ray, which wasnt hard to do, even as a kid. When my mom, Robin, sent me this obituary, I teared up. Ethel will always be really special to me for several reasons. But Brent and I will always be able to talk about our younger days, and those wont be remembered without mentioning grandma. She wasnt ‘mine’ but i will take what i can get. She is in a MUCH better place now. Miss u.

Sloan Family, you have my deepest sympathy on the passing of Ethel. I just saw her driving last week about town. One thing that I admired about Ethel was she always spoke her mind, and you always knew where you stood for her. I remember way back when the Sloan family were our neighbors, and we shared time together. May God bring peace and comfort to all of you during this most difficult time.

Sloan family, you have our heart felt sympathy on the loss of Ethel. It was always a joy to see her smiling face in church and she would always speak. Even the time Joey was around her with Austin, she impressed him. We were just talking about her the other day and Joey said Austin called her Moe. Although we are sad for the family, we are glad for her as she will be in a much better place. Prayers to all.

Sloan family -- you have our sympathy. Somehow we missed hearing of her passing and feel terrible we were not there to show our last respects. Thoughts are with you as we approach the holiday season.
